Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy

What is it
It’s a specialized field of physiotherapy that focuses on the assessment and rehabilitation of neuromusculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions and injuries. Its goal is to manage symptoms, restore movement and functionality and prevent relapses, allowing the patient to return to daily activities without limitations.
Who is it for
- Individuals with acute or chronic neuromusculoskeletal pain.
- Patients with neuromusculoskeletal injuries and disorders, such as strain, sprain, tendinopathy, fracture, etc.
- Individuals in pre- and/or post-operative rehabilitation for a musculoskeletal-orthopaedic condition, such as joint arthroplasty, ligament reconstruction, suture, etc.
- Individuals with arthritis and degenerative conditions.
- Workers with musculoskeletal problems caused by repetitive movements, prolonged postures or ergonomic deficiencies.

- Clinical and Functional Assessment: Specific clinical and functional tests, to identify potential causes and aggravating factors.
- Individualized Treatment Plan Design
- Creation of a customized rehabilitation program, tailored to individual needs, capabilities and goals.
- Education and Prevention
- Consultation on symptom self-management and adopting optimal ergonomic habits.
- Education on exercises and strategies for preventing relapses.
- Re-evaluation and Plan Adjustment
- Continuous re-evaluation of progress and adjustment of the treatment plan whenever necessary.
